Working alongside ecologists, developers, landowners and landscape professionals, we deliver habitat creation, enhancement and mitigation works from approved ecological designs and specifications.
From wetland and pond construction to habitat establishment, drainage, earthworks and ongoing management, our combination of experienced operators and specialist machinery allows us to undertake the practical delivery of schemes from initial site preparation through to completion.
Biodiversity Net Gain Delivery
Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) requires qualifying developments in England to deliver an increase in biodiversity value, with the statutory framework generally requiring at least a 10% gain. Significant on-site enhancements and off-site BNG are normally secured and managed for a minimum of 30 years.
Once the ecological design, Biodiversity Gain Plan or Habitat Management and Monitoring Plan has established what needs to be delivered, we provide the practical contracting capability to turn those plans into habitats on the ground.
We work from ecological specifications, drawings and management plans, collaborating with the project ecologist and wider construction team where required.

Habitats and areas we can help with
Wetland & Pond Creation
Construction of wildlife ponds, wetlands and aquatic habitats to ecological designs and specifications. We undertake excavation, profiling, marginal areas, varying water depths and associated earthworks, creating the physical conditions required for successful habitat establishment.
Reed Beds & Wetland Habitats
Creation of reed beds, wetland margins and other aquatic habitats for Biodiversity Net Gain and ecological mitigation schemes. Works can include excavation, formation of levels and profiles, water management features and preparation for planting and establishment.
Scrapes, Swales & Habitat Features
Construction of scrapes, swales, shallow depressions and other habitat features designed to create varied ground and moisture conditions. Using specialist machinery, we can accurately form these features while efficiently managing excavated material across the site.

We work from the appointed ecologist’s specification and, where required, alongside ecological supervision to undertake habitat creation, vegetation works, site preparation and associated groundworks.
Site Clearance & Habitat Preparation
Sensitive site clearance and ground preparation ahead of habitat creation or development works. Using excavators and specialist attachments, we can undertake vegetation clearance, material handling, ground preparation and enabling works while following the requirements of the ecological specification.
Habitat Earthworks
